The 5th Jiangsu Artificial Intelligence Conference, which is organized by the Jiangsu Association of Artificial Intelligence and Jiangnan University, will take place in Binhu district, Wuxi, Jiangsu province from Aug 26 to 28.

The conference will feature multiple events, including seminars, exhibitions, speeches, and an information consumption competition. Scientists and industry experts from home and abroad will share insights into a wide range of sectors, including forestry, medicine, education, national defense and metaverse, that can be integrated with artificial intelligence (AI).

Launched in 2018, the annual conference is aimed at showcasing Jiangsu's academic and technological achievements related to AI and boosting the development of the province's AI industry.

Binhu district has over the past few years been keenly focused on developing its AI-related sectors, including computing platforms, smart healthcare and smart transportation. The district, which is presently home to many major AI projects, is planning to spend over 5 billion yuan ($720.47 million) to support sci-tech innovation in its AI industry from 2021-25.
