Government officials of Binhu district in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province have been proactively visiting local companies to learn about their problems and offer solutions over the past few months.
For example, Wuxi Vision Pro Ltd, a company specializing in developing ophthalmic equipment and consumables, was looking for more space to expand its production capacity when the authorities came knocking. Pan Yiqiong, chief executive officer of Vision Pro, said the company has been taking more market shares in recent years and received approval to produce two kinds of intraocular lens in April but faced a problem as its 3,000-square-meter factory did not have enough capacity.
After learning about this problem, the Binhu government helped the company find another 4,400 square meters of factory space within a month. Due to these efforts, the company's new production line will be put into use by the end of this year and the company's output is expected to be worth 100 million yuan ($14.81 million), said Pan.
The bureaus of industry and information technology, transport, and human resources and social security of Binhu have also taken measures to ensure the shipment of raw materials for a number of companies, including Wuxi Lihu Corporation Ltd and Wuxi Paike New Materials Technology Co.
According to government officials, Binhu will continue to provide effective policies and services in the second half of 2022 to build a better business environment and promote the growth of local companies.
