Tourist attractions in Binhu district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province have planned a variety of activities to celebrate Children's Day and the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival which falls on June 3 this year.

At the Nianhua Bay Small Town, tourists can admire flowers, go camping, make zongzi, a traditional Chinese food usually consumed on Dragon Boat Festival, and attend a musical festival from June 3 to 5.

The Plum Garden will hold a kids fashion show, camping parties and sachet-making activities as well as screen movies in the open.

The Wuxi Studios will organize activities that allow visitors to learn the Six Arts – rites, music, archery, chariot racing, calligraphy and mathematics – that students in ancient China were required to master. Other events themed on traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival will also be held.

Visitors can also visit the Jiulong Bay Scenic Area and the Xuelang Mountain Scenic Area to view hydrangeas and lavender flowers.

The first 50 tourists to the Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, or Turtle Head Island, will receive a free sachet from June 3-5.

Adults that visit the Wuxi Zoo with their kids can enjoy a 50 percent discount on ticket prices.
