Wuxi authorities are now soliciting logo designs for the Lihu Lake Future City.

Located beside Lihu Lake in Binhu district, the core zone of the Lihu Lake Future City covers an area of 3.7 square kilometers and has 38 km of lakeshore, which represents the urban landscape feature in Wuxi with lakeside and mountain views.

Development planning of the future city is centered around water environment management, smart city construction, landmark building construction, and industrial development.

Five winners will be selected from the entries. The top design will be awarded 100,000 yuan ($16,000) while 5,000 yuan will be given to each of the other four winners.

Design submissions must reflect the characteristics of Lihu Lake Future City, including its water and mountain resources, as well as scientific innovation. The designs should be simple, distinctive and globally appealing.

Entries can be sent to wxlhwlc@163.com from April 4 to May 5 with the subject title formatted as such: "Logo design for Lihu Lake Future Cit – designer's name or name of institutions – contact number". Participants also need to include an introduction of their design and the creative rationale behind the work.
