Tea farmers in Binhu district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province have been busy picking leaves for Wuxi Hao Tea, a locally produced green tea, since early March.

The tea leaves, which are harvested in the morning, will be transported to factories in the afternoon for further processing.

Binhu is the second largest tea producing area in Wuxi. It has about 5,000 mu (333.3 hectares) of tea plantations and an annual output of 75 metric tons of tea leaves.

Local agricultural experts have been monitoring temperature changes and the growth of tea plants, and have taught farmers and companies how to best manage tea production.

Wuxi Hao Tea was recognized as a Chinese national geographical indication agricultural product in 2019.
