A number of pharmacies in Binhu district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province have started selling COVID-19 antigen test kits.

It takes 10 to 15 minutes to get a result after a sample is collected using the test kit.

According to Li Jinhong, a deputy general manager at Wuxi Jiuzhou Medical Chain Co, each test kit is priced at about 20 yuan ($3.14). The company had pre-sold 1,257 kits by March 16 and is expected to roll out 10,000 test kits on March 18.

Local residents need to show their ID cards when buying the test kits.

The local department responsible for supplying materials in Binhu has signed an agreement with Shanghai Pharmaceutical Co to ensure the district's demands for COVID-19 test kits are met.
