The government of Wuxi's Binhu district has been prioritizing the improvement of the local business environment, said Sun Haidong, head of Binhu district.

In the next phase, the district government will provide more services for enterprises, implement more effective policies, create a more inclusive innovation and entrepreneurship environment as well as facilitate government-enterprise communication.

It will also improve the efficiency of approving the use of land for high-quality industrial projects, help meet enterprises' needs for high-caliber and highly-skilled personnel, reduce financing costs, connect enterprises with banks and investment institutions, and help enterprises to go public.

Sun made the remarks at a recent special inquiry meeting about business environment improvements hosted by the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Binhu.

The meeting also called for more efforts to streamline administration and delegate power, improve regulation as well as upgrade services.

After listening to reports delivered by the related government departments, the inquiry group gave suggestions based on the results of a four-month survey.
