The Xu Juyan Academician Workstation of China Key System & Integrated Circuit Co Ltd (CKS) was recently approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
It is the third provincial academician workstation approved for construction in Binhu district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province. The district is now home to 10 academician workstations above the municipal level.
By 2023, the workstation is expected to form a high-performance computing team with more than 100 people led by Xu Juyan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Wei Jinghe, chief expert of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation.
The workstation also plans to train more than five doctors, 30 masters and five researchers with senior professional titles.
Serving as a technological innovation platform, the workstation will focus on core-particle interconnection, brain-like computing and other technical fields, as well as develop a multi-core heterogeneous integrated system with strong computing capabilities for specific applications based on micro-processing technology.
