Wuxi's Binhu district unveiled a united front alliance of leading figures in the district's internet sector in an effort to build a better cyberspace on Sept 24.

According to the district's united front work department, Binhu is the first in Wuxi to set up an alliance of this kind, marking an important step forward for the district in carrying out its united front work in the internet sector.

Supported by the department, the alliance will hold a series of activities related to public welfare and other "positive energy"-related fields for members to participate in.

Members include influential producers and disseminators of network content from internet-based companies in the district such as Lanswon Technologies and the social media branches of Sina and Netease in Wuxi.

The district is home to more than 30 major internet companies, most of which have become leaders in network data, network security, network communication, and social networking.
