A total of 10 cooperation projects worth 1.01 billion yuan ($146.29 million) between enterprises in Wuxi's Binhu district and Shenzhen were signed during a meeting on Aug 18.
The projects involve technology such as internet of things, internet of vehicles, and integrated circuits and are expected to help boost the development of the new-generation information technology industries in the two cities.
Representatives of 15 enterprises in Shenzhen that have important relationships with Binhu were invited to the meeting to discuss further collaboration. A delegation led by Chen Xilun, director of Binhu, also visited some of the enterprises to learn about their cooperation projects.
China Mobile Games and Entertainment plans to cooperate with Wuxi Studios to build its East China headquarters, which will cost 500 million yuan. In addition, the Shenzhen Zhigao Equipment Technology Research Institute signed a communication project worth 50 million yuan with the Liyuan Economic Development Zone in Binhu.
Chen talked with leaders of the projects and encouraged them to develop cutting-edge technology and work to attract more high-end talent.
