Updated: 2020-06-28

Five Shanghai-based companies have signed cooperation agreements with Wuxi's Binhu district to develop technological innovation projects there. The agreements were inked during the 2020 Wuxi (Shanghai) Technology Cooperation Fair on June 18-19.

The projects are related to fields such as the internet of things, integrated circuits and biomedicine and are expected to inject new vitality into the high-quality development of strategic emerging industries in the district.

According to the district's 30 new measures to boost innovation, local government will provide financial support and other favorable policies to help develop the projects. In addition, more than 85 percent of provincial scientific institutes in the district will become partners in technological innovation with the five companies.

The delegation to the fair, which was led by director of Binhu Chen Xilun, visited the companies in Shanghai afterwards. He said the district is striving to improve its business environment for investors and welcomes more sci-tech companies in the Yangtze River Delta region.
