Binhu district to boost rural tourism

From July 1 to 5, the government of Binhu district in Wuxi held a series of promotional activities in surrounding cities to help develop its rural tourism.

The activities aimed to attract more visitors to rural areas in the district through the introduction of tour routes and scenic spots.

A delegation consisting of government officials from the culture and tourism bureau and the agriculture and rural affairs bureau of Binhu showcased the unique charm of the district to audiences in Shanghai, Jiangsu province's Suzhou, Zhejiang province's Huzhou and Jiaxing.

At the promotional conference in Shanghai, representatives of scenic spots, including Xuelang Mountain area, Jiulong Bay and Nianhua Bay, displayed their travel products to more than 50 travel agencies and local media.

Lin Weimin, head of the culture and tourism bureau, said that visitors can appreciate natural scenery around Taihu Lake and enjoy picking fruits in the countryside.
