The 16th Wuxi Taihu Cultural Tourism Festival kicked off with an opening ceremony held at Wuxi Studios in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on May 17.

The festival was an unbridled hit, with more than 130,000 viewers watching the opening ceremony via live broadcast.

This year, the festival will hold a total of 32 events around Binhu district, giving tourists the chance to admire the area's stunning natural scenery, learn about traditional culture and enjoy a variety of recreational activities.

To attract more visitors, 13 scenic spots in Binhu district have announced that they will offer half price tickets from May 19 to 26.
