A forum on the in-depth integration of talent and capital was held in Wuxi's Binhu district on May 7. The forum was hosted by the Wuxi municipal Party committee and government and undertaken by the Party committee of Binhu district and the district's government.

Lu Zhijian, deputy mayor of Wuxi, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Xu Feng, Party secretary of Binhu district, also spoke, introducing the district.

The forum attracted more than 150 representatives of different financial institutions, and over 100 leading talents in innovation and entrepreneurship in Wuxi.

A total of 12 major projects were signed during the forum, covering various fields, such as biomedicine, integrated circuits, network security and financial services. Six of the projects were from Binhu district.

Zhang Fengbin from the Offering and Listing Center of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and two other specialists from respective fields made keynote speeches. Zhang talked about SSE's upcoming science and technology innovation board.

Additionally, a round table talk discussing topics on capital market reform and how government and financial institutions can better support talents and enterprises was held during the forum.

Binhu district has been focusing on the integrative development of industries and talents in recent years and has formed a policy system and a service system for talents' innovation and entrepreneurship.

With years of development, the district has formed a modern industrial system, integrating emerging industries, manufacturing industry, service industry and tourism industry.

According to official figures, Binhu district now has 160,000 talents in total, distributed in many fields such as life and health sciences, integrated circuit design, information technology, the Internet of vehicles, film and television, intelligent manufacturing and new materials.
