The Binhu district is in south-central Jiangsu province, southwest of Wuxi, with Taihu Lake to the south, the Yangtze River to the north, the cities of Shanghai and Suzhou to the east and Nanjing to the west, with convenient transportation.

The district itself has a network of railways, roads, waterways and air service extending in all directions, with the Taihu Highway, Beijing–Hangzhou Grand Canal and Wuxi-Yixing Expressway, the port of Zhangjiagang and Wuxi and Shanghai’s Hongqiao and Pudong airports, Nanjing’s Lukou Airport within easy reach.
