The 2018 China International Travel Mart (CITM) got underway at Shanghai New International Expo Center on Nov 16, with representatives from 107 countries and regions attending.

During CITM, famous tourist attractions from Wuxi's Binhu district were displayed, including the Lingshan Mountain Scenic Area, the Town of the Three Kingdoms, the Town of the Water Margin, Turtle Head Isle and Wanda Cultural Tourism City.

Themed on "Watery Jiangsu", elaborate brochures and videos were used to showcase the beauty of Wuxi, which is known as "the pearl of Taihu Lake", and to promote all-in-one tourism.

The Wuxi delegation exchanged ideas with global tourism counterparts and travel agents, learning about the demand for Wuxi tourism resources and line products in Shanghai and surrounding tourism industries.

The event, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Civil Aviation Administration of China and Shanghai municipal government, has evolved since its establishment in 1998 into one of the largest trade fairs in the Asia-Pacific region. It now serves as an essential platform for the Chinese tourism industry to seek cooperation at home and abroad.
