The finals of the third Wuxi Lihu National Fitness Canoeing Race were held in the lake by the MIXC mall in Wuxi's Binhu district on Sept 24.

This year's event was for the first time sponsored by Wuxi municipal government, with the aim to get as many local people involved in sports as possible.

More than 500 people, divided into 22 company teams and 35 family teams, took part in the races. And there were plenty more people cheering their friends and family on from the shore, undeterred by the rain.

The event reached its climax with an acrobatic flyboard show during the awards ceremony.
