The Wuxi International Talent Exchange Center has developed an area in its office building to offer university start-ups guidance on starting a business.
The center hosted a launching ceremony on Dec 8 to officially open its innovative area named "5C Maker". The area will provide one-stop service for university start-ups including business registration, project design and brand design.
Ge Nan, general manager of "5C Maker", said that the area has a capacity of about 35 entrepreneurship projects. Once they have passed a project review, start-ups are allowed to enter the area and enjoy various customized guidance services. Outstanding projects are later recommended to various industrial parks in the city.
Liu Chaoliang, a university entrepreneur, has already entered the innovative area with his project "Dora's Hat", which focuses on gift customization. He appreciates the innovative atmosphere here as well as the chance of learning from professional investment organizations and advisors, adding that the interaction with other projects facilitates resource sharing, which helps him a lot.
To date, the innovative area has attracted seven projects, three of which have received financing.
The city has always strived to create a sound environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2014, a total of 11,900 start-ups benefited from local policies. The government now offers various kinds of subsidies up to 300,000 yuan ($46,900).
